Position overview:

We are seeking a Senior Merchandise Sourcing Specialist to support our growing accessary and lifestyle products business.

The role requires strong merchandise sourcing experience and solid engineering knowledge in accessary and lifestyle products, to drive supplier development, product development and execution. The position will work cross – functionally with product managers, designers and supply chain teams to deliver innovative, qualified products with speed and operational excellence.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ORGANIZATION

• Independently manage accessary and lifestyle programs through product development to production, including product sourcing, timeline management, cost negotiation, sampling and bulk production.
• Collaborate with cross – functional teams including product manager, product designer, and suppliers to ensure successful program execution
• Drive supplier communication on costing, sampling, technique feasibility, lead time and production
• Monitor program timeline and proactively identify new product opportunities, materials and manufacturing capabilities
• Support sourcing strategy initiatives, including new supplier sourcing, supplier optimization and cost improvement
• Manage product engineering reviews and resolve technique and manufacturing challenges during development
• Drive coordination between China QA team and other functional teams, focus on technique alignment with factories and cross teams
• Investigate the root cause of customer complaints for accessary and lifestyle products, validate the effectiveness of supplier corrective actions and preventive actions

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE WOULD LIKE YOU TO HAVE

• Bachelor’s degree and above, gift company background, with experience in both domestic and international trade
• + 10 years of merchandise sourcing or product development experience in accessories and lifestyle products
• Strong sourcing and supplier management capabilities, including cost, timeline negotiation and supplier performance management
• Strong communication and coordination skills with internal teams (both China and US teams) and suppliers
• Strong project management skills, PMP is preferred
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and are able to drive execution independently
• Strong knowledge of accessary and lifestyle product engineering, materials, construction and manufacturing process (such as silicone, Zink Alloy products, Resin, Acrylic etc. products
• Willing to work under pressure and are able to travel
• Familiar with Solidworks, AutoCAD and other professional software, Excel is a must
