ROLE OVERVIEW
As an important contact window, this role will lead the functional teams inside of tms to ensure delivery of an uninterrupted supply of products & services to the customers.
The day-to-day work comes from multiple projects and tasks. We combine all those project management, product management, supplier management…into a concept of category management.
List the key duties, responsibilities and functions of the job--both qualitative and quantitative; outcomes expected of goals and objectives; accountabilities (decision and people); special projects; key contacts--internal and external; etc.
1. Project Management:
• Support day-to-day operational supplier relationships in the product categories to ensure fair access based on objective review of capabilities and pricing.
• Work with X-function, both Client and tms internal, teams to ensure successful project management for new items; product and graphics changes, both local and global-oriented.
• Ability of identify priority and risk management and escalating to leaders timely.
• Ability of identify LTO project risk that impacting internal supply chain resources and stable supply to McD system.
• Be sensible to pricing of both finish goods and raw material in order to maximize/minimize the resultant impact to the system.
• Proactively be involved in the development phase of solutions/alternatives compliance to sustainability goal.
2. Account Management:
• Manage promotion campaigns from packaging perspective for customer including providing timeline, communicating with internal team, customer marketing, supply chain, DC, graphic agency and suppliers for graphic management and approval, sampling validation and assuring supply.
• Provide feedback on the market strategies and issues impacting the business, e.g., promotional calendars, major trading issues, economic & political changes.
• Openminded to develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of the China markets’ overall and specific packaging requirements in order to align the company’s packaging services which result in maximizing added value to the customer.
• Proactively establish mutually beneficial relationships with key stake-holders in the customers’ organization which include Supply Chain; Operations; Marketing, agencies and Licensees.
• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the packaging industry, and Client’s sustainability goal, within China market, and utilize this knowledge to lead cross functional team to execute towards client committed sustainability goal and ultimately improve the competitive edge.
• Assure information and data accuracy to both internally and externally.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• 2 years + experience in either of the following: Supply Chain (Procurement / PKG Engineering Oriented), or Sales and Marketing (Account Management) in the food packaging industry
• Fluency in written and speaking English and Chinese. Can communicate effectively in Mandarin.
• Exposure to Chinese market dynamics, etiquette and political affinity.
• Project Management expertise with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Proven aptitude with MS Office product.
