WHY WE THINK YOU WILL LOVE THIS ROLE

 

The Sustainability Analyst will sit within our Global Sustainability Reporting team.

The Sustainability team supports delivery of client Sustainability strategic objectives, focused on product and supply chain, through operations, reporting and legislation tracking. To do so, our team collaborates with key stakeholders across various internal and client cross-functional teams, Suppliers, Consultants and external organizations. Our global Sustainability team sits across 3 geographic regions, supporting global, regional and market activities.

Our team seeks contract support to fulfil annual ESG Sustainability Reporting. This role is critical to achieve our client’s public reporting objective. As part of a supply chain organization, your key stakeholders will include internal cross-functionals teams, clients, and Suppliers. Your efforts will contribute to assessment of ambitious packaging goals specific to responsible sourcing. As a global team member, you will be given a high amount of autonomy as well as responsibility to deliver results in a fast-paced, demanding atmosphere. You will learn Fiber and Plastics programs described as ‘gold standard’ by recognized eNGOs. For this project, you will be part of a small, collaborative team of Sustainability Analyst focused on the same task with responsibilities for different geographic regions.

 

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ORGANIZATION

 

  • Eagerness to learn Sustainable Sourcing client requirements
  • Ability to follow detailed process instructions, raising questions to clarify as needed
  • Apply learnings to perform detailed review of Supplier submissions, assessing conformance
  • Liaise with Suppliers via written email, clearly outlining non-compliance reasons, which Supplier is asked to correct
  • Prompt escalation of issues to key contacts to support achievement of timelines
  • Maintain daily log of activities to enable regular status updates
  • Identify and communicate risks impacting timeline achievement to manager
  • Attend regular meetings
  • Collaboratively problem-solve
  • Support fast-paced demand
  • Bring positivity to support team success
  • Willingness to support additional Sustainability data activity as requested

 

 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE WOULD LIKE YOU TO HAVE

 

  • Eye for detail to identify non-conformance issues, ability to follow detailed instructions
  • Excellent written/oral communicator
  • Reliable self-starter who can prioritize workload, and elevate questions as needed
  • Courteous, responsive and helpful to address customer queries
  • Comfortable navigating software applications
  • Successful contributor in both individual and team context
  • Proficient in Excel, data analysis

 And we’d love you to…  

  • Be versed in Sustainability reporting best-practice
  • Have Sustainable Sourcing knowledge

 Any of the following would be a plus

  • Sustainability auditing experience
  • Supply Chain experience
