ROLE OVERVIEW
Local Market Activities (LMA) are market- level services that encompass any changes, additions, or adjustments to the bespoke, local-market packaging. Based in Malaysia, the LMA Assistant Manager is responsible for the end-to-end project management of newly implemented customer's packaging in Malaysia & Singapore.
The role will ensure assured supply of all products into the market including delivery of products for promotional activities as well as new product development and trials. The role leads and coordinates cross-functional project teams and suppliers to ensure timely execution and alignment with local market expectations. In addition, the role will also identify customer growth opportunities and implement regional category plans that support the local markets.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and co-ordinate the supply of newly introduced packaging items into the country and ensure that all project timelines are met.
- Support all product development activities through collaboration and working with the SEA team in QA, PD, SCO.
- Seek to understand customer expectations and requirements and to meet or exceed these requirements in the delivery of packaging services.
- Seek to add value by understanding and anticipating customers’ requirements
- Strong project management and spot & escalate risks timely via weekly work-in-progress meetings with cross functional team
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to proactively identify, monitor, and escalate risks in a timely manner through weekly work-in-progress meetings with cross functional teams.
- Ensure adequate links and communications are maintained with the Distribution Centers and suppliers.
- Maintain register of local market activities for Quarterly LMA invoicing.
- Manage artwork flow for the customer to ensure market compliance to Zone and Global regulations.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Required:
- Bachelor degree in Science, Engineering, Commerce or similar
- Qualification in Business or Supply Chain management preferred
- Knowledge of packaging and packaging materials
- 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing within packaging industry
- Strong project management experience
- Excellent written and oral communication in the English language
- Mandarin speaking is complimentary (not a must)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
