WHY WE THINK YOU WILL LOVE THIS ROLE
Working in an international high volume premiums business, you will be responsible for the effective management and control of the tms Quality & Safety Auditing of vendor’s / supplier’s facilities and Quality Control systems and requirements applied by tms and client. You will also be responsible for the effective management of the manufacturing and quality control processes from tool making through to shipment.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ORGANIZATION
- Support CQO in strategy development, execution and decision making.
- Leading a team of professional auditors, engineers and quality control specialists in different manufacturing locations / countries.
- Providing expert advice globally to tms Leadership Team and clients on all aspects of Quality & Safety Auditing and Quality Control. This includes management, regulations, standards, best practice, protocols, and procedures.
- Setting priorities and goals for the Production Management team in PE, Auditing and Quality Control functions.
- Develop and implement tms Quality and Safety Strategies.
- Develop meaningful KPIs to measure.
- Takes ownership and accountability for the development, continuous improvement and success of processes in areas of responsibility.
- Works cross-functionally with the team to ensure that product is safe, legal, right quality, meets client’s requirements and on time.
- Takes prompt decisive action, when necessary, to assure product safety and compliance, and to ensure smooth execution of all programs.
- Establishing a strong working relationship with clients, core vendors and factories, providing them with the expert advice, strategic direction, necessary controls, best practice expected by tms and clients.
- Facilitates training of vendors, factories and suppliers on tms and clients expectations.
- Works closely with the third-party laboratories to agree processes and protocols, interpretation of audit findings, develop corrective actions when necessary.
- Drive continuous improvement on Tool Makers and Vendors factories in product engineering and new product development skillset and processes
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE WOULD LIKE YOU TO HAVE
- Minimum 15 years’ experience in manufacturing / control of consumer products and their quality assurance with minimum 5 years in managerial level.
- Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or relevant scientific/technical discipline from an accredited institution.
- Proven experience in the Auditing, Quality Control of manufacturing processes and Project Engineering Management.
- Proven experience in QA/QC functions and controls in a high volume business.
- Experience in production of tool manufacturing.
- Experience using metrics to optimize supplier performance.
- Proven ability to work within different cultures and effective working internationally.
- Experience in toy manufacturing is an advantage.
- A track record of success in leading and managing a multifunction team in different locations.
- Exceptional leadership and ability to inspire and develop a world class team.
- Good communicator with excellent interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Excellent planning and process re-engineering ability.
- Strong analytic thinking with excellent problem-solving ability.
- Good knowledge on plastic product design and mold making processes.
- Good communication and influence skills.
- Good spoken and written English.
- Mandarin speaking would be an advantage, but not essential.
