Job Summary:

  • To assist and support Audit and Inspection Manager to supervisor a team of QC Inspectors to conduct all aspects of inspections including pre-shipment inspection (Final Random Inspection (FRI)) and production in-process inspection, and other safety and quality activities
  • To assist and support the Quality and Safety team to handle/manage quality and safety issues (e.g. Intervention test failure, customer complaint, etc.) at factory level.
  • To work with factories to ensure products meets all TMS/Client quality and safety requirements.

 

Job Relationships

Internal – Quality & Safety Teams / Supply Chain / Production Engineering.

 

External – Manufacturing Vendors, Raw Material Suppliers, Safety Labs., Third-party inspection agencies

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Supervise a team of QC Inspectors to perform all aspects of inspection, including pre-shipment inspection (Final Random Inspection (FRI)) and In-process Inspection
  • Perform inspections including FRI and In-process Inspection as required
  • Conduct factory audit on quality and safety perspective as required
  • Provide guidance and training to the QC Inspector team
  • Review Inspection Reports prepared by QC Inspectors and factories
  • Monitor daily QC inspection operations and allocate appropriate resources to balance the workload
  • Assist Audit and Inspection Manager on allocation of manpower resources
  • Follow up on quality and safety issues found during inspection
  • Provide support and follow up on tms quality and safety initiatives
  • Assist to handle quality and safety issues (e.g. Intervention test failure, customer complaint, etc.) at factory level
  • Monitor the factories’ conditions with regard to any issues (or potential issues) which affect quality, safety or client/tms’ reputation and expectation
  • Work with factory QC team on continuous improvement activities

 

 

Qualifications/Experience

  • A minimum of 15 years of working experience in toy inspection /safety testing with minimum of 5 years at supervisory level
  • Good experience with toys manufacturing processes and testing requirements
  • Knowledge in international Toys Safety Standards

 

 

Education

  • High/Secondary school graduated minimum

 

 

    Job Knowledge/Skills

  • Able to read and write in English
  • Understanding of basic computer operation, e.g. MS office and Email
  • Good in communication skill
  • Leadership skill
  • Problem solving ability
  • Good spoken English an advantage

  • High integrity and ethics
  • Able and willing to travel within China and other Asia countries as required
