WHY WE THINK YOU WILL LOVE THIS ROLE
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Mid-Level Product Manager to join our team in Chicago to lead the Packaging and Indirects Category business initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage competing priorities across geographies, and is passionate about delivering impactful software solutions. You will work closely with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and cross-functional partners to define, build, and deliver innovative products that drive business value.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ORGANIZATION
- Collaborate with multiple business stakeholders across geographies to gather, prioritize, and align on business needs.
- Develop comprehensive business cases in partnership with business leads to support new initiatives.
- Translate business requirements into clear, actionable functional specifications for software development teams.
- Work closely with software engineering teams to ensure successful implementation of product features.
- Document and analyze business process flows to identify areas for improvement and automation.
- Drive initiatives that span multiple disparate software platforms and systems.
- Lead, conduct and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate solutions against business requirements.
- Own and maintain the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and timely delivery of milestones.
- Apply Agile and Scrum methodologies to manage product development cycles effectively.
- Act as the voice of the customer and business throughout the product lifecycle.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE WOULD LIKE YOU TO HAVE
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in product management or a related role.
- Proven experience writing detailed software requirements and user stories.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with tools such as Azure DevOps, Teams, JIRA, Confluence, or similar Agile project management platforms.
- Comfortable working in a hybrid work environment (2–3 days onsite in Chicago office).
And we’d love you to…
- Working knowledge of Azure DevOps, including maintaining sprint backlogs and participating in backlog grooming sessions.
- Experience in the Supply Chain business domain.
- Familiarity with enterprise software systems and integrations.
- Certification in Agile, Scrum, or Product Management (e.g., CSPO, PMI-ACP).
Starting salary between $130,000 - $150,000
