Love taking flat, two-dimensional graphics and breathing new life into them with motion, color, sound and music? Or creating videos and motion graphics that build excitement, turn heads and maybe even give people goosebumps? Then we should talk.

 

Today we’re looking for a passionate Motion Designer to join our growing team.

 

As Motion Designer, you’ll get a chance at turning flat designs and storyboards into dynamic and compelling pieces of motion used in everything from online videos, to in-game applications, social media, online banners, tutorials, etc.

 

Working closely with the Sr. Motion Designer and the broader creative team, you’ll get a chance at flexing your motion skills while helping make the work better across our entire portfolio of business.

 

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ORGANIZATION

 

We’re looking for someone that loves motion and is obsessed with learning new ways of making magic and delivering work that wow ourselves and our clients. The Motion Designer should be eager in helping push the boundaries of our work, making everything shine brighter. Here are some additional details and responsibilities:

  • Ability to generate and deliver compelling creative that’s on brief and outside the box.
  • Meets timelines and expectations, while continually improving the overall creative product.
  • Follows the direction from senior creatives and when necessary, provides direction in helping make the work stronger.
  • Executes and manages a balance of multiple jobs and projects daily, gathering project information and seeking out solutions.
  • Supports creative delivery and execution of multiple projects at the tactical level.
  • Maintains knowledge and skills of creative applications, staying on top of new and evolving technology, software, and trends.
  • Ability to apply learnings and solve problems creatively.
  • Ability to work under pressure within a small team group.
  • Ability to meet timelines and expectations, while ensuring the work is exceptional.
  • Follows direction from senior creatives and provides strong rationale behind their work.
  • Executing and managing multiple jobs and daily tasks, while independently gathering project information and seeking out solutions.
  • Assist with creative presentation materials when necessary.
  • Communicates openly, honestly, and respectfully to everyone.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE WOULD LIKE YOU TO HAVE

 

  • 2-4 years as a Motion Designer in an agency or organization that edits/animates videos.
  • Experience in video editing, web motion graphics, in-game animations, HTML5 banners, training videos, graphics and post-production.
  • Strong design aesthetics and a well-rounded understanding of how to bring the work to life from concepts through to storyboards into deliverables.
  • Great collaboration and team skills as well as a detailed oriented approach to their work.
  • Strong portfolio with examples of motion projects that back up and showcase your work and creative process. Work should demonstrate a range of genres, visual styles and use cases (social media, broadcast, GIF, etc.).
  • Program proficiencies: Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma as well as the suite of Microsoft products like Microsoft Word, Teams, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with motion graphics and typographic elements. Ability to create conceptual storyboards as well as mock-ups of interaction designs.
  • Some knowledge of working with 3D programs and experimenting with the use of 3D graphics is a plus.

Starting salary between $75,000.00 - $85,000.00
