WHY WE THINK YOU WILL LOVE THIS ROLE

 

The Manager, Legislative Packaging will sit within our Local Market Activity (LMA) team.

 

 

This team manages legislative impacts to McDonald’s packaging. This includes translating legislation into restaurant impacts, developing packaging solutions that meet the requirements, managing the supply chain execution of these items and fully communicating with a range of external and internal stakeholders.     

 

 

This role will report into the Sr. Manager of Legislative Packaging and be responsible for consolidating information from the cross-functional team and creating client communications targeted to the restaurants, Field Offices, Supply Chain and Legal Stakeholders. You will translate legislative requirements into restaurant impacts, and work closely with our Development, Sustainability and Supply Planning partners to manage legislative projects, ensuring legislative requirements are met.

 

 

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ORGANIZATION

 

  • A degree in Business, Communications, or related field
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in Packaging, Legislation Management, or Restaurant Operations
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical requirements and craft messages geared to different intended audiences including restaurant crew, legal stakeholders, etc.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and navigate complexity
  • An interest in legislation, packaging, and/or recycling

 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE WOULD LIKE YOU TO HAVE

 

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Experience writing technical communications
  • Project Management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience using PowerPoint and Word

 

 And we’d love you to… 

 

  • Have experience with Excel or creating quotes
  • An interest in process improvement

 

 Any of the following would be a plus

 

  • Knowledge of Packaging Certification like BPI, TUV, etc.
  • An understanding of packaging manufacturing processes
  • An understanding of supply chain

 

Salary Range: $115,000-$125,000
