The AI Solutions Developer will sit within our innovation team reporting to the Senior Director of Applied Innovation & Research

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ORGANIZATION

Innovation Strategy Development:

You’ll collaborate with the CTO/CINO, and the Senior Director, taking a leadership role in innovation and AI strategy to drive our business.

AI and Emerging Technology Prototyping & Product Development

• You will play a key role in ideation and construction AI-based applied commercial solutions that address stakeholder problems and align with the business strategy.
• You will contribute your AI skills to PoC initiatives ad production systems to explore applicability of emerging technologies that address internal challenges, opportunities, or external market gaps

Emerging Technology Competency Expansion

• This role requires continuous adoption of new skills, and thus self-starter learning style applied to advanced AI and traditional technologies essential.
• Develop internal expertise in AI (LLMs, image generation, agents, AI workflow tools), robotics, and automation through targeted, small-scale projects.

Tracking & Interpreting Industry Technology Developments

• Keep an ear to the ground, alerting and educating the organization to relevant technological developments that are related to our areas of specialization, as well as opportunity areas.
• Attend relevant conferences that might afford us insights that drive our future strategies and explorations, while sharing learnings with the rest of the team.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE WOULD LIKE YOU TO HAVE

1. Core Technical Skills

• 3+ years of hands-on experience leveraging Artificial Intelligence technologies such as Machine Learning, Large Language Models, Diffusion Models, and other related technologies in service of applied innovation initiatives. Exceptions will be made for the right candidate based on specific abilities and experience at our discretion.
• Strong software architecture and system design ability: experience building complex software systems that integrate and scale.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience building production solutions with modern AI tooling such as ComfyUI and/or Diffusers.
• Strong mathematical and algorithmic problem-solving ability.
• The capacity to learn a sophisticated architecture quickly and to operate with autonomy once established.

2. Preferred Experience

• Breadth across modern AI approaches, such as diffusion models and large language models, with the flexibility to use whatever technique a problem calls for rather than specializing in one.
• Experience delivering solutions that combine AI with substantial conventional software, mathematics, and algorithmic work.
• Familiarity with model fine-tuning and adaptation methods, such as LoRA.
• Comfort using ComfyUI flexibly, including beyond standard generation.
• Prior delivery of AI or software solutions for enterprise clients under formal brand, quality, and security standards.

3. Other Capabilities and Critical Behaviors

• Ability to conceive and develop original AI solutions in collaboration with our customers and other internal innovation resources to solve problems.
• Ability to take innovation plans constructed by leadership and make meaningful contributions to bring those plans to fruition.
• Expert ability to navigate corporate processes in the most expedient manner possible
• Excellent collaboration skills, the ability to work across diverse groups and individuals
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, including the ability to present highly complex topics to audiences of widely varying levels of technical acumen.
• Relentless curiosity about AI related technical developments, and the initiative to continuously keep a finger on the pulse of those developments.

Starting Salary Range: $120,000-$125,000
