ROLE OVERVIEW: 

 

The Associate Financial Analyst will be responsible for managing McDonald’s packaging category, providing internal and external customer support, and will help identify and lead process and system improvements across the Finance organization. The position will be responsible for providing management and the customer with analysis and information needed to make major operational, financial, and strategic decisions. The position will be primarily managing packaging category items with focus on process improvement.  The role reports to an FP&A Manager.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

This role will be responsible for executing the following:

 

  • Support McDonald’s packaging category including setup, cost and pricing
  • Support commodity reporting, researching discrepancies, and identifying key issues
  • Prepare monthly reporting for both internal and external users
  • Perform quantitative analysis of operational and financial data
  • Perform ad hoc analysis for stakeholders
  • Advise stakeholders on financial implications of operational decisions
  • Build and maintain relationship with stakeholders
  • Coding of general invoice expenses and multi-vouchers
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

 

CORE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related area, required
  • 1 – 2 years of experience
  • Familiarity with Accounting concepts
  • Able to analyze data, determine logical conclusions and recommendations utilizing data
  • Strong intermediate/advanced excel skills
  • Ability to multitask and handle multiple priorities in a timely manner
  • JD Edwards and Oracle Business Intelligence Applications Experience (ERP Systems), preferred
  • Advanced Excel skill including pivot tables, What-if analysis, and Macros, preferred
