Morgan Street Holdings is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Legal Intern to join our Corporate Legal Team in Chicago for the Summer of 2026. This internship opportunity is designed for students currently enrolled in law school who are eager to gain practical experience in a corporate legal environment. As a Legal Intern at Morgan Street Holdings, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced legal professionals, gaining valuable insights into various legal matters within a dynamic and fast-paced organization.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ORGANIZATION
- Conduct legal research and analysis on a wide range of issues relevant to Morgan Street Holdings' operations, including but not limited to contract law, corporate governance, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance.
- Assist in drafting and reviewing contracts, agreements, and other legal documents under the guidance of the Corporate Legal Team.
- Support the Corporate Legal Team in preparing for meetings, negotiations, and legal matters.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the organization to provide legal guidance and support on business initiatives and projects.
- Assist in managing and maintaining legal documentation and legal technology.
- Stay updated on relevant legal developments, industry trends, and best practices to contribute to the continuous improvement of HAVI's legal processes and procedures.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the Corporate Legal Team.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE WOULD LIKE YOU TO HAVE
- Currently enrolled in an accredited law school program, pursuing a Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
- Strong academic record with coursework in relevant areas of law, such as contracts, business law, and commercial transactions.
- Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and thoroughness in work product.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and legal research tools.
- Prior internship or work experience in a legal setting is preferred but not required.
Location and Duration:
This internship is based in Chicago, IL, and has a duration of 10 weeks (Summer 2026). The selected candidate will be expected to work on-site at Morgan Street Holdings' corporate office in Chicago for the duration of the internship period.
Note:
This internship position is open exclusively to law school students currently based in Chicago. Only candidates meeting this criterion will be considered for the role. 2L students are preferred.

Hourly Rate: $25.00/Hr
